The origin of the Heart Sutra is said by the Buddhist community that master Xuanzang, when reading the Sutra, was suspicious of some sentences and wanted to learn from India. Later, in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, I met an old monk with scabies, who dared not approach. Only the young master Xuanzang worshiped him with compassion, washed his pus and blood, and applied medicine to him. Before long, the old monk was cured of scabies. In order to thank Xuanzang for his kindness, there was nothing to repay him. There was only one Scripture that could be passed on to him. This is the Heart Sutra, a total of 260 words. Lao Heshang read it once, and master Xuanzang wrote it down in his mind. Later, he translated it. Now the most popular translation in the Buddhist world is master Xuanzang's translation.
Who is that old monk? Some people say it's Avalokitesvara. Later, on his way to get scriptures, master Xuanzang passed through the vast desert. There were no birds above, no animals below, no one in the middle, but many ghosts. In such a dangerous desperate situation, as long as master Xuanzang read the Heart Sutra, all evil demons and monsters will be eliminated immediately. Relying on the merits and divine power of the Heart Sutra, Xuanzang successfully arrived in India to learn Buddhist scriptures. After 15 years, he returned to central earth to become a national teacher and concentrate on translating Buddhist classics.
The meaning contained in the Heart Sutra is very extensive. There are about 18 versions of the Heart Sutra in China, of which master Xuanzang's version is the most concise, fluent and clear.Key words:- sutra
